McLean Packaging, based out of Moorestown, NJ, has developed two new manufacturing techniques that it says will be the new level of luxury in rigid box manufacturing.  The first feature is a box wrap that creates a full turn-in up to 3-1/4” deep, making the inside of the box look as finished as the outside.  This feature shows off a complete, quality package that frames the product beautifully. Additionally, McLean says it can create a box with a smooth wrap, which all but eliminates the “orange peel” effect.  This wrap is made of a heavier substrate that does not allow as much of the chipboard to show through.  The heavier material also holds an emboss 50% greater than a standard box wrap.  These techniques could be combined into one package, or used separately, depending on the needs of the customer.
